Edelrid was created in 1863 by alpinist Julius Edelmann und Carl Ridder. Since then it has been creating amazing products for climbers the world over. In 1953 they developed the kernmantle rope, an innovation which has since become the standard for all climbing ropes.
Our Icelandic expedition was proudly supported with equipment, ropes, bags and bouldering pads.

As a part of their dedication to giving back to the sport Svana donated the bouldering pads to the up and coming young climbers at Klifurhúsið climbing gym in Reykjavik. Svana will compete for the Icelandic climbing team in 2023 and hopes try qualify for the next olympics so it was great to see how involved she was in supporting the sport there.
Having such a high-quality sponsor on board is invaluable for an expedition of this kind. We all knew that we were dealing with the best quality products allowing us to be confident in the equipment and pursue the climbing and bouldering goals for the trip.
